Pau Casal's speech at the ONU
Virtuoso Catalan cellist, Pau Casals popularized the traditional Catalan song El Cant dels Ocells (Song of the Birds), adopted as the official United Nations hymn. He was invited to the ONU in 1971 and gave the following speech when the hymn was presented for the first time.
