And the weekend is here. I can't believe I will have to head to Ikea yet again tomorrow to try and buy more plinth. Mild and rainy today, in the low 50s. We even opened the windows a bit to let smoke out from cooking dinner.

Still a bit under the weather, but better. In fact I should go to be soon, it's getting late. Watched half of America Idol, pretty bad singers in this round of 36, probably too many contestants. Previous years started with less and narrowed them down to a top 10 quicker.

Got an email from Pep, he has bought a Kindle 2. I don't find much utility for a device like that, I guess just play with it which is what he will do before putting it on ebay Spain after a while

It will be Thu again tomorrow, weeks go so fast. We got the door we were missing for one of the kitchen cabinets. It has to be cut to the right size. Also missing some plinth. Tried ordering but Ikea wants a fortune to ship it because it's oversized and has to come in via truck. I will try to go Friday night and buy it and bring it home myself. Let's see. It's like a $20 piece and they want $125 in shipping. After that we have to refinish the floors, plus more backsplash tiling, etc,

Got home late today, Mondays always run a little long, important to get the week started moving forward. Chilly out, boo, like mid 20's, enough with the cold already. Barca lost over the weekend, let's see how they in the Champions League this week. I think I found a bug on Ikea's website, their password recovery system doesn't seem to work well. We ran out of plinth, had to order some more.

Going to head to bed soon, need to get some sleep, still sore throat.

Boxee has been forced to cut off access to hulu.com this week. Too bad. Content companies pressured them. I don't understand what their issue is, all their ads are running and being watched via hulu, what else do they want? What does it matter whether I watch the should via a tv hooked up to a laptop running boxee streaming hulu, or directly on the laptop? Nevertheless, this will just drive people to download the shows via torrents again, getting them in full HD and bypassing the ads altogether.

Cool and clear outside, the sun shining. We took a trip to Ikea last night to return a bunch of stuff we didn't use for the kitchen. It was the very last available day to do so, the 90th day after purchase . Had to end up getting a van to pick us up and drop us off, and then a car to take us back. It cost almost the same as renting a car for a day, which is pretty expensive in the city, but without the hassle. Anyway, it was a successful trip, we got like $500 back, and used a credit we had from paying with my debit card to buy a few other smaller things. All in all we were home by 10 or so.

Had a lot of errands to run today. Need to get more tiles for the backsplash, move stuff from the old to the new fridge, throw away a lot of cardboard boxes, go to home depot to get a brush so I can apply the sealant to the countertops, etc. Busy weekend. Plus 2 great soccer games at 2 today, both Barca and Madrid play!

BTW, forgot to mention I got an email from an ex-colleague from college this week, Sergi. He is doing very well, a big boss at a pharmaceutical company in Spain, the guys that make Gelocatil (equivalent to Tylenol in the US)
